چکیده

Using 58 million J/ψ events taken with the BESII detector, a search for ηc CP violating decays into ππ and KK̄ has been performed. No clear ηc signal is observed, and upper limits for B(ηc → ππ) and B(ηc → KK̄) are given at the 90% confidence level, B(J/ψ → γηc) · B(ηc → π π) < 1.1 × 10, B(J/ψ → γηc) · B(ηc → π π) < 0.71 × 10, B(J/ψ → γηc) · B(ηc → K K) < 0.96 × 10 and B(J/ψ → γηc) ·B(ηc → K 0 SK 0 S) < 0.53 × 10 . a Current address: Iowa State University, Ames, IA 500113160, USA b Current address: Purdue University, West Lafayette, IN 47907, USA c Current address: Cornell University, Ithaca, NY 14853, USA d Current address: Laboratoire de l’Accélératear Linéaire, Orsay, F-91898, France 2 M. Evidence for a Scalar Glueball

We show that the newly discovered scalar meson f0(1500) at LEAR has properties compatible with the lightest scalar glueball predicted by lattice QCD and incompatible with a QQ state. Hadronic phases in ππ and KK̄ channels are calculated à la Regge. At the D mass one finds δππ ≃ π3 and δKK̄ ≃ −π6 in good agreement with the CLEO data while at the B mass these angles are predicted to be, respectively, 11◦ and -7◦. Abstract We evaluate the decay width for the processes f1(1285)→ πa0(980) and f1(1285)→ πf0(980) taking into account that all three resonances are dynamically generated from the meson-meson interaction, the f1(1285) from K ∗K̄ − c.c and the a0(980), f0(980) from πη,KK̄ and ππ,KK̄ respectively. The light scalar mesons a0/ f0(980) are being investigated at COSY-Jülich by detecting the strong decays into KK̄ and πη /ππ as well as radiative decays into vector mesons. Selected results are discussed with emphasis on recent measurements at the ANKE and WASA spectrometers.
